Gogh See van Gogh Live in 1889
Experience van Gogh, through traveling to the time when he created many of his most beloved works. Such as, Starry Night, Wheatfield and Cypress, some of his self-portraits, and many more in 1889.

Objective: Create an advertisement and apparel for an exhibition to see van Gogh's painting live, traveling back in time to Paris, 1889.
Design: The main elements for these designs are inspired by van Gogh's signature style and paintings produced in this era. Like The Starry Night, Wheat Field and Cypress, his Sunflowers, and one of his many self-portraits. The type is handwritten, inspired by script writing during 1889.

Thumbnails:
Here are some thumbnail sketches for the poster design. I am usually very fast in processing sketches that are well done, so I tend to move on really quickly. Though for this one, I didn't use any of these thumbnails as the final design, and ultimately illustrated the final composition on Procreate.

Some Compositions:
After thumb-nailing, I went into creating full-on compositions of the thumbnails I liked. I used Procreate to draw and color both comps. I had decided to handwrite the text rather than use a typeface.

Revisions:
After some critiques, I added van Gogh's eye to add more elements of his paintings in 1889. I also tried using a typeface that would be more legible. However, I wrote the text myself in script, similar to the typeface, and added more words after some more critiques.

Logotype & Logo:
I then created the logotype and the logo that was placed on some apparel through Adobe Illustrator and Procreate.
