Devotional Cards
Explore the cards with scripts from the Bible (ESV), with carefully illustrated imagery that represents the text. Whether through trials or tribulations, these cards allow for daily devotionals and reminders of the word to help with your day.

Objective: Create illustrations that represent the texts through symbolism and narrative elements for quick and easy devotionals/reminders of the word.
Design: The four stars that are used as the aspect of these card designs form an abstract cross-like shape. Both the size and placement of the stars are thought out, as they symbolize the Holy Trinity and our relationship with God.

Process
First Iteration:
The first cards were square-shaped rather than the stereotypical rectangular cards; they were about 4"x4" and the Bible verses were to be printed on the back.

Second Iteration:
After some consideration, I decided to format the cards to have both the image and the verses on the front of the card. Then design a completely different design on the back to emulate normal playing cards and trading cards. Although I still chose to have a unique sizing of the card as a 2.5" x 4" card.

Craft:
After getting the final design down, I printed my files on 8.5" x 11" luster paper, separated, and cut them to size and stuck them together with double-sided adhesive paper. For the final touches, I used a corner cutter to make the card round.

Luke 19:10
This image is an interpretation of this verse I had. The girl was drawn to represent the blindness that came with sin, while the hands represent Jesus coming and opening our eyes to our sin and his way of life. It also represents his reach toward us. The eye of the girl is very significant as well, because the eyes are known to be the windows to the soul, so her visible eye represents her soul being saved through him!
