First Sketches:
When I first decided to design tangerine-based Chinese Zodiacs, I started sketching napkin designs on Procreate of what each would look like and what features they would have. The features that I knew all of them needed were the juicy insides of tangerines, freckles based on the peel, and finally, the little sprout on top for the stem and leaf of a tangerine.

After receiving some critiques from my peers, I decided to redesign the Dog and Dragon, as all the other zodiacs were also given the feature of being as plump as a ripe, juicy tangerine. I also decided to use the Chow Chow breed instead of a generic dog to fit in more with the theme, as they are known to be bred in China.
Revised Sketches:

Initial Stickers:
Here are some designs of some sticker sheets that I wanted to make, and did make with a sample print, however, I ultimately decided to make the characters have individual stickers.

Red Envelope:
Some initial designs for the red envelope, both for the inside and outside of the envelope. The placement of the Chinese Tandiacs is inspired by the zodiac wheel chart.
